Job Description:

The Sr. Financial/Procurement Analyst plays a key role in preparing and summarizing the accounting activities for the manufacturing plant and supports accounting and finance to analyze information and prepare financial reports. This role will partner cross functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, Product Management and Marketing. Responsibilities include forecasting, reporting, annual budgeting process as well as financial submissions to Envista, essentially partnering with all business functions to analyze actual results versus expectations and build accurate future expectations. This position also provides the lead in Procurement with responsibilities of supporting vendor negotiations with the main emphasis on cost savings through purchase price variance.

This role will require someone to work in the office 3 days per week.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Finance (70%):

  • Assist in month-end closing and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

  • Analyze month end and quarter end accrual balances to determine appropriate reserves in accordance with GAAP and company policy.

  • Support financial activities in manufacturing.

  • Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with company policy. Review, investigate, and resolve accounting errors, discrepancies, and reconciling items.

  • Special projects and create ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.

  • Assist with overall SOX compliance program for general accounting.

Procurement (30%)

  • Uses a total cost of ownership model, competitive quoting, and strong analytics to select the best supplier to maximize business results.

  • Negotiates long term agreements (LTA’s) to ensure supply chain continuity and cost improvement.

  • Partners with tactical buyers and sustaining engineers to resolve delivery and quality issues, respectively.

  • Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the procurement function.

  • Visits major vendors to discuss issues/concerns to maintain good relationships as required. Responsible for following procedures for approval of new vendors and manages the approved supplier list, including documents required for BSI, FDA, and other internal audit support.

  • Stays aware and informed on current commodity trends in the marketplace.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • 4+ years related experience; preferably working in multinational company environment.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially MS Excel).

  • Working knowledge of GAAP and SOX is required.

  • Experience working with an ERP system; Oracle a plus.

  • Strong financial acumen (P&L and Balance Sheet)

  • Procurement experience highly desired

  • Experience working with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plus.

  • MBA/CPA preferred.

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and do what it takes to meet deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of general business procurement practices and techniques, negotiations, as well as characteristics and usage of materials or services to be procured is required.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and can work under pressure with minimal of supervision.

TRAVEL

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5-10%

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
