Job Description:

The Compensation Manager (Americas) is an individual contributor professional role that develops and manages strategies in support of Envista corporate staff and operating companies in the Americas region. The selected individual will support the execution and communication of compensation programs across all functions and operating companies within the region incorporating base and variable compensation, long-term incentives, and employee recognition strategies. As an experienced compensation professional, the incumbent will incorporate their experience, market insights and inputs from the business to support the development and execution of meaningful and competitive compensation programs that enable Envista to attract, motivate and grow talent in support of our aggressive growth agenda. This role works closely with other compensation team members, the broader CoE and human resources communities, and interfaces directly with managers and employees within the region.

  • Collaborate with HR community, regional leaders, and Total Rewards team to define, deliver, and communicate compensation programs including base pay, incentive compensation and recognition programs.

  • Support the development of competitive global compensation strategies. Collaborate across the CoE to refine and execute market benchmarking, analysis and recommendation of annual salary increase budgets, management of compensation planning processes, job leveling, development of special incentive plans, articulation of clear processes, and measurement of metrics indicative of the performance of defined pay strategies.

  • Conduct detailed, thorough, broad, and narrow analyses as required in support of effective compensation decision making.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and consultants to ensure applying latest market data and best practices

  • Provide Compensation subject matter expertise and counsel in the day-to-day delivery of the regional and operating companies’ people strategies. Partner with HR business partners and business leaders to recommend, design and implement changes to compensation plans and salary structures.

  • Participate in due diligence and integration of acquisitions by seamlessly migrating compensation programs.

  • Partner closely with HR Technology team to optimize Workday for compensation management and to determine other tools and solutions to effectively manage compensation.

  • In conjunction with other Total Reward team members, ensure that Envista presents a robust and competitive reward portfolio to current and potential employees that supports the successful attraction, retention, and motivation of talent to our thriving and growing global business.

  • Coach and educate leaders and all individuals on our Compensation strategies, philosophies, principles, and programs.

  • Drive and refresh our Job Architecture by collaborating to define and assess jobs and job families.

  • Maintain global compliance on Compensation, including Pay Equity.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:

  • B.S./B.A. degree or 7+ years of Compensation experience in lieu of education

  • 5+ years experience as a Compensation Subject Matter Expertise preferable with understanding of other Total Reward elements including recognition programs, benefits, and mobility.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • MBA preferred

  • Fluent in English and Spanish is highly desired

  • Prefer candidate to reside in Southern California, preferably San Diego County

  • Experience working within a fast-paced global enterprise

  • Expert level analysis skills with ability to use data to support recommendations and issue resolution. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience working across different geographic regions

  • Prior or current experience within a Workday environment preferred.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders

  • Confident, innovative, decisive thinker.

  • Critical thinking and process efficiency skills that will improve processes.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
